Camping, Paris or ... Columbus?

Never really thought of Columbus as halfway between camping and Paris -- hm?
There are places to go camping that is true. There is an art museum -- but alas no paintings by Jacque Louis David like in the Louvre.

There are a couple of French restaurants (Le Chatelaine) and patisserie (the French Loaf!). And there was a sighting of the Chorman sisters a couple of February's ago. But no famous relatives like Charlemagne.
Downtown there is an arch. But nothing like the Arch de Triomph.

So if camping isn't cutting it, the recession is preventing you from heading off to Paris -- head on down to Columbus and I'll show you our pictures of Paris -- insert yourself into these pictures and it will be just like you were there!

Photos by Cindy Barnhart and 1 overeager, slightly strange frenchman!

  1. I climbed that arch :-)That's what I was yelling to everyone as the Tour d France was riding by it :-) Sometimes still can't believe I was actually there . . . Sure glad that frenchman gave me back my camera :-)

  2. Memories - sweet. Love the blog:)and while it was great to be in Columbus together - NOTHING quite like being in Paris, close but no patootie. And - I don't think the mayor of Columbus dumped his wife while we were in Columbus - and the transit system didn't go on strike as we left - and - HOW did Cindy take that picture of herself??....
