I leave a week from today for Europe so I thought I had better do some training and preparing.
I went for a very strong 50 mile ride -- averaged 18.6 and rode very hard. Tried to keep it in a big gear and pretend I was climbing the Tourmalet! OK so it was flat but it was a little windy!
Then I watched the Tour de Grandview. Just like the tour -- with no mountains (1 steep climb!), fewer riders, scattered fans, no follow cars -- yea just like the tour! But it gave me a chance to practice watching them go by -- hard work you know. I'm not as good a cheerer as Cindy but I did enjoy the breeze as they flew by and took some pictures.
