Whew What a Day

Whew what a day! And never underestimate how hard it is to long on in a different language with a european keyboard. Add on the fact It´s now 5:30 am to my brain and I´ve been going since 11 yesterday and perhaps more incoherent than usual.

Good flight. Last time I was in Philly I waited at gate F10 for Debbie (really how long did it take her to get from her gate!) to take the shuttle to the international terminal. there we met up with Cindy and headed to Paris. Not quite the same trip without them!

Met some folks from Pataskala and Gahanna (both local to Cols) waiting. They are going on a cruise in the Med which sounded fantastic. They said they´d be with me in spirit on my ride! No free wifi coverage in the A terminal in Philly so no blog yesterday (or today, or the day before I can´t keep track)

there was this old man shuffling his luggage cart around, time after time. Do you remember the Tim Conway skit? He was a dead ringer! Around and Around. He ended up behind me on the plane and saw him in Barcelona just shuffling along! My chuckle for the day.

A bit delayed getting to the gate so I didn´t have time to explore the city prior to the walking tour I set up. But that was awesome and we saw alot. This is a wonderful city but I miss some of the great old architecture of paris. The modernista stuff is pretty neat and Kathy would love my hotel room (I have pics I´ll get out sometime). Very narrow streets that wind all around. Great peoplel, great atmosphere but EVERYONE has warned of pickpockets!

Have a bit of time tomorrow to explore then off to Girona. Will try to be a bit more creative when I´ve had some sleep!

Lance is in 3rd, Federer finally won wimbledon, Cavendish has won 2 stages in the Tour. Life is good.
